Project Overview

This project explores the artistic application of industrial fabrication techniques. Constructed from 1.5mm mild steel sheet, structural chain, and pickled tubing, the composition relies on precise cold forming and TIG welding. Each petal was individually cut and manually shaped to achieve organic curvature before being welded to the stem. The heart-shaped frame was rigidized by welding specific chain links to maintain geometry without compromising the visual flow. The post-processing phase involved extensive rotary wire wheel abrasion to uniform the surface texture, followed by the application of a protective clear lacquer to prevent oxidation while preserving the raw metallic aesthetic.
